We LOVE styled shoots and this one from a few of our Kentucky preferred vendors is incredible. Weddings are typically the vision of the bride & groom, but when you put together a styled shoot, you truly get to see the vision of the wedding professionals. Not only is the vision incredible but the relationships between vendors is an added bonus. Creating that sense of family and positivity is an added bonus for when your big day comes. Friendships in the vendor world are what we’re all about and Gabe & Mary with Honey Heart Photography are pretty much the friendliest around. Below is what Jaime ( the event stylist and florist ) had to say about the collaboration.
From Jamie with State and Arrow: Mary and I became reconnected after many years of running in the same wedding circle and admiring each others work. After sharing our individual wedding stories and reconnecting over Steel City Popsicles and wine at a vendor meet-up, we knew we needed to collaborate that instant. Our thirst for something a little alternative, a little green and natural started to evolve from that point. The brainstorming began as we shared countless emails and inspiration exchanges to figure out the perfect direction for our styled session. After an early-Spring site visit to Yew Dell Gardens, Mary & I knew exactly that it was the perfect location once we meandered into the grove of trees that perfectly framed the shot location. Devon Yeoman, the bride, couldn’t have been a better fit. So effortlessly beautiful with the kind of badassery that we wanted to add to this particular shoot and all that came with it. She fit the mold of slightly alternative, and oh-so organic. We carried this theme throughout the design. With the florals, I knew I didn’t want to over power the organic beauty of Yew Dell Gardens but only enhance it through the use a fun greenery mixtures, cool blue & white textures and the use of airplants to make one large, popping bouquet. Louisville Farm Tables was the perfect fit to house a simple, gemstone-filled design and Riley & Ko truly added the finishing touches with their beautiful hand lettered designs carried through on the agate sliced escort cards and beautiful wedding signage. Mary & Gabe were truly the anchor of this all. This duo couldn’t have been more important to making this all come to life. It’s one thing that their shot-style is impeccable, but none of this could have been completed with out the true love and energy they fed into this project. Their chemistry is magical and this shoot was kismet.
