The phrase “fairy tale love story” started from fairy tales.. right? Books then turned into movies.. movies leading into snuggles and first kisses.. Scott + Rochelle have their own fairy tale and Crystal ( their photographer ) gave us a little insight into how their special day played out. Enjoy not only their story, but the beautiful images that showcase their love for one another.
Crystal Bolin Photography: Scott and Rochelle met over 8 years ago in the chemistry lab. They were both biology majors on a pre-med track, both with hopes of one day becoming physicians. They weren’t lab partners but shared the same lab bench facing each other. One day in the beginning of the spring semester, Scott approached Rochelle to ask her a question about the assignment, but he ended up figuring it out himself and Rochelle didn’t think much of it. A couple weeks later, she noticed he had gotten a haircut (mind you, he had somewhat of a big flowing afro prior to this) and asked him about it, especially because she thought it looked really cute on him. A few weeks later, on Valentine’s Day, they went on our first date to the movies. They officially started dating shortly after. She knew he was the one about a year later when he hand-made her a Valentine’s Day card in which he pasted every single movie ticket that he had secretly kept for the past year because he knew from the beginning that they would always be together. My favorite moment of the entire day was when Rochelle was about to walk down the isle. The music softly changed, the doors slowly opened, Scott took a deep breath and with the first note, I heard it — the theme song to the movie “Up”. It played softly and tears quickly dropped down many faces, including my own. Scott sweetly teared up and was in awe of his bride. It was truly a precious moment, one I will never forget.
Ps- If you don’t know the movie.. watch it. If you don’t have time to watch it, heres the song. – you’re welcome.
